The unveiling of CAC Apostolic Fire Congress (AFC) 2026 Theme

It began with a vision in 2016, received in prayer and meditation by Pastor Seyi Adeyemi, Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church (The Worship Centre). The question was simple yet profound: “Lord, what direction should our assembly take to propagate the gospel and deepen the spiritual lives of our members?”

The answer came not in thunder, but in fire — Apostolic Fire Conference, now reborn as Apostolic Fire Congress (AFC).

For nine years, the program was known as Apostolic Fire Conference. But in 2025, a pivotal decision was made: the word “Conference” would be yielded to the broader denominational programs of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas. In its place, “Congress” would signify a more inclusive, interdenominational platform — one that welcomes believers from all walks of life to encounter the undiluted Word of God, apostolic fire prayers, and soul-stirring worship.

The Vision That Sparked a Movement

The inaugural edition of AFC was held in January 2017, strategically timed to coincide with the anniversary week of CAC The Worship Centre, founded on January 10, 2010. From the beginning, AFC was more than an event — it was a spiritual mandate. In a world increasingly shaped by end-time prophecies and anti-Christian ideologies, AFC emerged as a counterforce: a place where Pentecostal fire could be rekindled, distractions cast aside, and believers launched into divine exploits.

This theme invites believers to shift their gaze from the fleeting glories of this world and allow the eternal King to take His rightful place in their hearts. It challenges us to confront the “gates” and “everlasting doors” — spiritual barriers that hinder godly living — and to embrace the transformative power of the gospel.

In his response to journalists on the pressing issue of insecurity in Nigeria, Pastor Adeyemi of Christ Apostolic Church (AFC) described the situation as a national plague that transcends religious boundaries. He emphasized that the ongoing violence and killings are rooted in widespread insecurity and terrorism, affecting both Christians and Muslims alike.

Turning attention to the upcoming AFC congress, Pastor Adeyemi highlighted its transformative mission: “This program is designed to impact lives by winning souls and reaching out to unbelievers. Even Christians must be re-evangelized. The God of 1930 is still the God of 2025—but we must pay the price of desire, holiness, and commitment. The pioneers of 1930 were focused, prayerful, and devoted. We are praying that God will do even greater things in our time.”
