The Super Eagles Are Back, But There’s Plenty More Drama on GOtv

The road to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations begins this week, with the Super Eagles facing Madagascar on Friday, 25 September at 5:00pm and Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday, 29 September at 6:00pm. Both qualifiers will air on GOtv’s SuperSport LaLiga (Ch 62) and Pop Up (Ch 59) and will be open to all GOtv viewers, bringing the Super Eagles’ latest push for a place at the tournament to screens across the platform.

The Magnificent Butcher — KIX, Friday, 7:50pm

The film follows Lam Sai-Wing, a skilled martial artist who gets pulled into trouble after agreeing to help his long-lost brother. What should have been a simple favour quickly puts him in the middle of a dangerous clash involving rival gangs and old enemies. With fights breaking out at every turn, Lam has to rely on his skills, quick thinking and a little luck to survive the chaos. The Magnificent Butcher brings together comedy, martial arts and plenty of old-school action.

Escape The Field — M-Net Movies Legends, Friday, 9:00pm

Escape The Field drops six strangers into a terrifying situation with no explanation. They wake up in the middle of a seemingly endless cornfield, stripped of their memories and forced to find a way out. But as they move deeper into the field, it becomes clear that they are not simply lost. Someone has brought them there, there are rules to the game and every wrong turn could have deadly consequences. Guns Akimbo — TNT, Sunday, 7:00pm

The film follows Miles, an ordinary computer programmer whose online habit of trolling an underground death-match operation lands him in serious trouble. The people behind the operation decide to make him their next participant, leaving him with guns attached to his hands and a target on his back. Suddenly forced into a violent game he never agreed to play, Miles has to learn how to survive while being hunted by people who have far more experience than he does. What follows is a chaotic race through the city where there is nowhere safe to hide.
