Peoples Democratic Party’s top chieftain in Sokoto State, Alhaji Nasiru Sahabi Tambuwal, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defection of Tambuwal, who is the Legal Adviser of PDP in Sokoto, was announced in Dange town, headquarters of Dange/Shuni local government during the flag off of the campaigns for the 2019 general elections.
The former PDP chieftains said thousands of their supporters across their respective wards had also moved along with them to their new party.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Sahabi Tambuwal and Alhaji Illelar-Gajara said they left their former party because it lacked justice and fairness.
“We joined APC because it has focus and fairness and the patriotic spirit and trustworthiness of its leaders.
