As the Labour Party candidate for Chairman of Ifako Ijaye Local Government, Dayo Ashade is determined to serve the community with a fresh perspective. In a candid interview, Ashade outlined his agenda, centered on community development and governance. “We want to promote community development, community governance,” he emphasized. “We believe in running a Local Government that truly understands the needs of its people.”

Ashade, an administrative expert with over two decades of experience in politics, is confident in his ability to deliver. “I’ve been involved administratively in politics since 1999,” he revealed. “This is my first time running for an election, but I’m eager to bring my expertise to the table.”

One of Ashade’s top priorities is addressing the deplorable state of community roads. “The community road is bad, and it has been like this since we were born,” he lamented. “We want to make sure it comes to normal.”

Ashade’s message resonates with the youth, whom he encourages to take bold steps towards achieving their goals. “I want the youth to understand that it’s possible,” he said. “A son of nobody can become somebody. Don’t wait until you’re asked to move before you move – take that bold step.”

With a humble approach, Ashade acknowledged the uncertainty of the election outcome. “We believe that there is glory in winning and there is glory in losing,” he said. “The will of God will prevail – it’s not a do or die affair.”

Ashade’s vision for Ifako Ijaye Local Government is clear: to rebuild the community and serve its people with integrity and dedication. As the election approaches, his message of hope and determination inspires confidence in his ability to lead.
