Don Jazzy shocked fans with his latest announcement of merging with Kupanda Capital. Here’s the reason for their merge.
Chief Operating Officer at Mavin Records, Tega Oghenejobo, and the mastermind, known popularly as Don Jazzy, announced the recent merger with Kupanda Capital.
This announcement is coming when a lot of worried fans feel that the record label, like others before it, might be having troubles remaining relevant in a highly competitive industry.
Kupanda Capital, co-owned and managed by Bobby Pitt, is a venture capital building company aimed at scaling pan African businesses.
According to Don Jazzy, the plan is to make Mavin Records a global brand with artists not restricted to Nigeria alone.
Kupanda Capital and Mavin Records have seen the recent skyrocketed growth in shows and tours organised by artists. Kupanda is a data collation driven establishment. They teamed up with Mavin Records because the latter has the technical knowhow and Kupanda Capital has the data needed to tap into countries which will buy into the idea.
