In a bid to help reduce the spread of covid-19 in Lagos State, the Executive Chairman Ojodu LCDA, Engr. Julius Oloro and his entire team have received the first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine shot at Gbadamosi Primary Health Center.
The provision of the vaccines also corroborates the government’s efforts at ensuring citizens’ safety and healthy living.
The council boss in a chat with newsmen said the availability of the vaccines is an effective step in curbing the spread of the deadly viris ravaging the world as highlighted by the Presidential Task Force on Covid 19.
Engr. Oloro encouraged residents to make sure they get their doses of the vaccine at the various Primary Health Centers across the LCDA, while allaying the fears of the people concerning the presumed side-effects of the vaccine.
He noted that all necessary assessments and due diligence have been carried out to ensure that it is safe for usage.
The Executive Chairman also reiterated that the Council awaits the arrival of the second dose as he admonish residents to adhere to the existing safety precautions of regular hand washing, use of face masks, sanitizer and observing other protocols in order to stay healthy.
