Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) on Wednesday inaugurated and unveiled its Ambassadors to Lagosians and the country at large.
The new LAWMA Ambassadors include Bolanle Ninalowo, Olatayo Amokade popularly known as Ijebu, actress Foluke Daramola, comedian Oluwatoyin Bayegun popularly called Woli Arole, Adenike Hamzah, comedian Onyebuchi Ojieh and TV reality star, Tobi Bakre.

As a global brand, LAWMA in the last administration had experienced a total disconnect from the Lagos populace, and to bridge the gap, the agency has carefully chosen personalities with a track record as society people with good following and great appeal among the people.

Addressing the Ambassadors and guests present, the Managing Director of LAWMA, Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, said enlisting the support of these personalities as brand Ambassadors is a well thought out idea to plant LAWMA even deeper into the consciousness of Lagos residents; to leave the agency on the lips of Lagosians, as the household name that it has always been.
“The LAWMA today is a refocused one, fully committed to its core mandate of excellent waste management in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
“This is an era of zero tolerance for filth and environmental nuisance. We must do it and will stop at nothing to achieve it,” Odumboni said.
He assured Lagosians that in the next few years, LAWMA will be on a higher pedestal and better positioned to perform its duties to the full satisfaction of the people.

Mr. Odumboni said the agency believes strongly in the Ambassadors and in their ability to sell the LAWMA brand, through several professional avenues for excellent results.
“It’s a privilege and a great opportunity to serve the people of Lagos,” award-winning Nollywood actor, Nino Bolanle said as he expressed his gratitude to the Lagos state government and LAWMA for the opportunity to serve and to be a voice to the people
Describing the move as ‘ Nollywood for LAWMA,’ legendary actress, Folake Daramola applauded the Managing Director, Mr. Odumboni for his forward-thinking approach to rebrand and reposition the agency, the actress said the challenge to change the face of LAWMA is one that is welcomed and accepted by the Ambassadors.

Also present at the inauguration was the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo Olu on Monitoring and Enforcement, Mr. Ayo Williams, LAWMA C.T.O, Dr. Olohunwa Tijani among other guests and staffs of LAWMA.
