JUST IN: First Bank Appoints Shobo As Managing-Director/CEO
The board of Nigeria’s foremost banker, First Bank has approved the appointment of Mr. Gbenga Shobo as new Managing Director/CEO designate of the bank. The decision was taken at its meeting today. He succeeds Sola Adeduntan.
Gbenga was prior to the appointment a Deputy Managing Director.
Other appointments made by the board according to its Chairman, Mrs. Ibukun Awoshika, include: Abdullahi Ibrahim as Deputy Managing Director, while Mr. Ini Ebong, Mr. Segun Alebiosu, Mr Seyi Oyefeso and Mrs Bashirat Odunewu were appointed Executive Directors. The appointments are all subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria. The appointments are effective today, April 28, 2021.
