JANDOR visits The Progressive Institute TPI, to Partner with the Institute in Mentoring Lagos Youths on Governance and Leadership

Says TPI growth potential will rival the International Republican Institute (IRI) and National Democratic Institute (NDI) in the United States_

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran JANDOR on Friday paid a visit to The Progressive Institute (TPI), the Think Tank and intellectual resource center of the All Progressive Congress at the institute’s office in Abuja.

While addressing the leadership of the institute, Dr. Adediran described TPI as a citadel for leadership, highlighting the institute’s potential to nurture future leaders and provide solutions to Nigeria’s leadership challenges. He expressed his admiration for TPI’s vision and its clear departure from traditional party foundations, noting that the institute’s independence and self-sustaining model would enable it to provide objective and impactful views to the party.

With what we have seen, TPI may soon rival institutions like the International Republican Institute and National Democratic Institutes in the U.S.,” JANDOR added.

He thereafter expressed his willingness and readiness to partner with the institute in it’s mentorship programme for young Nigerians in the area of governance and leadership with Lagos Youths in focus.

In his response, the Director-General of TPI, Dr. Lanre Adebayo appreciated the passion and commitment shown by JANDOR over the years for youth development and good governance. He applauded the willingness of Dr. Adediran to work with the institute in her various capacity development programmes for young Nigerians.

shared the story behind the institute’s establishment, revealing that it was inaugurated in September last year as a Think Tank and intellectual resource center for the APC. He noted that the vision of the APC National Chairman, Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje for the TPI is for an independent and sustainable organization that would provide valuable insights for the party.

Dr. Adebayo who was a former Director General of the Peoples Democratic Institute, the think thank of the major opposition party, the PDP, disclosed plans by the institute to evolve a political ideology for the ruling party and to assist the party in leadership recruitment.

The visit underscores the alignment of JANDOR’s vision with the APC’s commitment to grooming future leaders and promoting structured leadership succession, with TPI playing a pivotal role in shaping the party’s intellectual and policy direction.
