Glovo’s latest data reveals a remarkable +218% increase in pasta orders over the past year, signaling its growing popularity as a versatile and convenient option for upcoming celebrations.
Spaghetti remains the front-runner, making up 75% of pasta orders, with Stir Fry Spaghetti leading the pack as a crowd-pleasing favorite. Other cherished dishes, such as Jollof Spaghetti, Pasta Salad, and BBQ Pasta, showcase how pasta continues to marry local flavors with global culinary trends.
As Nigerians plan their holiday menus, lunchtime has emerged as the prime time for pasta orders, with nearly half (47%) of orders placed between 11 am and 2 pm on weekdays. Lagos Island, Ikeja, and Abuja are hubs for pasta lovers, while Ikorodu and Abuja have seen impressive growth rates of +8,960% and +272%, respectively, reflecting a wider embrace of pasta across the country.
