FIRE INCIDENT: IKEDC Caused Fire Incident On The Eve Of Public Holiday
On the eve of the public holiday today the illegal work done last week (07.06.2021) by some staffs of Ikeja Electric Distribution company, Oko Oba cash office by disconnecting series of houses in particular Akinleye street without any good reason or issuing disconnection notice.
The incident happens after the wire disconnected by the incompetent staffs led by one Mrs Ayoola with Mr Seun blown by breeze to the high power mini transformer and send direct current to the house and caused the fire incident, it takes the efforts of the neighbours before the fire was put off.
The Lagos state fire service came after the fire had been put off, IKEDC staffs that came to assist and access the incident attest that the work done by their colleagues on 07.06.2021 without the office been fully briefed.
Naijabreeze gathered that the houses disconnected have been making frantic efforts to get it resolved but have been given unfair conditions which they have not been able to meet.
The fire incident destroyed a lot of properties with lots of casualties and the office was very sluggish to response after series of calls from the community.
