ADC’s Isah Backs Abuja Protest, Demands INEC Neutrality

A House of Representatives aspirant for the Owan Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdul Kudus Isah, has thrown his weight behind the recent protest organized by his party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Abuja. The protest was aimed at demanding a more transparent electoral process ahead of future polls.

Honourable Isah expressed concerns over the perceived inconsistencies in the handling of recent administrative processes by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He emphasized the need for INEC to earn the trust of the electorate, stating that the integrity of the institution is crucial to Nigeria’s democracy.

Honourable Isah stressed that a biased electoral body hinders genuine representation, particularly for constituencies like Owan seeking transformative leadership. He called for comprehensive reforms to guarantee free, fair, and credible elections in 2027, urging INEC to resist political pressure and external influence.

The ADC chieftain urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and peaceful while demanding their rights, noting that the Abuja protest was a wake-up call for stakeholders to ensure the people’s will is respected. He pledged to continue advocating for electoral sanctity as he prepares for his legislative bid.
