$10,000 Saraki Gift: Tinubu distances self from Saheed Popoola

The end may not have been heard about the controversial $10,000 gift collected from the former President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki by the embattled APC member of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Saheed Popoola.

The former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu, has distanced himself from Popoola for his unstable and dubious character.

Tinubu has ordered his aides to disallow Popoola access to his home, who has now become a persona non grata for the cheap lust for money.

Popoola who has been under fire, especially from his community for his radio confession to the dollar gift from Saraki has been described as a serial exploiter of political development.

Feelers from Bourdilion confirm that the leader is opposed to such doubtful loyalty, hence the need to sanction Popoola and others planning to exhibit such attitude.

Popoola had been one of the self acclaimed proponents of the Tinubu2023 campaign in Kwara State, but his recent romance with the former lord of Kwara politics, Senator Bukola Saraki has raised suspicion to Popoola’s continued loyalty.

Saraki who is a national PDP leader definitely may not be on the same page with Tinubu, who is also the national leader of the APC.

Popoola’s recent romance may not be unconnected with his ambition for a national assembly ticket in 2023, which Saraki has reportedly consented to.
