YABATECH ART MUSEUM MARKS ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
The inaugural meeting of Art Schools in Nigeria holds in Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) from November 24 to 26, 2021. The meeting convenes by Yaba Art Museum aims at bringing together creative intermediaries and representatives of Art Schools across Higher Education Institutions in Nigeria to critically discuss and work out possible solutions, collaborations and development plans towards Art Museum across Nigeria’s Tertiary Education sphere.
The meeting which would be declared opened by Yabatech Rector, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe, will also mark the one year anniversary of Yaba Art Museum unveiled to the public on November 25, 2020.
Yaba Art Museum, a project funded by Ford Foundation was recently listed as one of Lagos State Tourism site by Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Art & Culture.
The Museum since it was unveiled has been in the forefront of presenting Art Exhibition that supports Youth Advocacy, Social Justice, Sexual Harassment and Gender Based Violence.
