OWAN Youth Movement Demands Edo North Senate Seat in 2027, Cites Equity and Fair Representation

The OWAN Youth Movement has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, and equitable representation in the Edo North Senatorial District, declaring that it is the turn of OWAN to produce the next senator in the 2027 general elections.

In a strong statement issued ahead of the forthcoming polls, the group maintained that its position is not driven by sentiment but by the principles of equity, unity, and balanced political representation within the district.

According to the movement, OWAN has consistently contributed to the growth, peace, and political stability of Edo North over the years and therefore deserves the opportunity to serve at the highest legislative level in the National Assembly.

“As the 2027 senatorial elections approach, we strongly and confidently declare that it is the turn of OWAN to produce the next Senator,” the statement read. “Our position is rooted in fairness and the need for inclusive representation that reflects the diversity and contributions of all constituencies within Edo North.”

The group further emphasized that its demand is not a call for confrontation but a legitimate appeal anchored on democratic principles. It described the people of OWAN as courageous, determined, and prepared to pursue their aspiration through lawful and peaceful means.

The OWAN Youth Movement also called on sons and daughters of OWAN, as well as advocates of justice across Edo North, to rally behind the cause in the spirit of unity and collective progress.
