OPC New Era Dismisses Comrade Shina Akinpelu Over Alleged Gross Misconduct
The Oodua People’s Congress New Era has announced the dismissal of Comrade Shina Akinpelu from its membership over what it described as gross misconduct and an alleged nonchalant attitude toward the affairs of the congress.
The decision was disclosed in Lagos through an official letter signed by the Secretary of the group, High Chief Bayo Oyename. According to the statement, the leadership of the organization reached the resolution after deliberations by the national body of the congress.
In the letter, Oyename stated that Akinpelu’s conduct within the organization was found to be inconsistent with the values, principles, and discipline expected of members of the group. He noted that the decision to dismiss him was taken in the interest of maintaining order and integrity within the congress.
“The national body has resolved that Comrade Shina Akinpelu should henceforth stop parading himself as a bonafide member of Oodua People’s Congress New Era,” the statement read.
The leadership emphasized that the dismissal takes immediate effect and warned that any attempt by Akinpelu to represent or act on behalf of the organization would not be recognized.
The group reiterated its commitment to upholding discipline among its members and ensuring that its objectives are pursued in line with established guidelines and constitutional provisions.
