Kwara Gov commiserates with GM Herald over mother’s death
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the General Manager of the Herald newspaper Mr Yomi Adeboye on the passing of his mother Mama Maria Wuraola Adeboye Oyewumi at the age of 91.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Governor described Mama Wuraola as a rare gem and a community leader with positive footprints in Esie, Irepodun Local Government.
“Mama’s death marked the close of a glorious era, and the end of a life well spent in the service of God and humanity,” the statement quoted the Governor as saying.
“On behalf of the people and government of the state, I commiserate with Mr. Yomi Adeboye, a very senior journalist and poet, and the rest of his family on the death of their matriarch. May the Good Lord comfort the family and repose the soul of Mama Maria.”
