Akeredolu sets up committees to assess impact of flood .

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has constituted two ad-hoc committees to carry out an assessment tour of communities affected by floods in the riverine areas of the state .
According to a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu on Media and Publicity, Mr Ojo Oyewamide, the teams are to assess the flood disaster in Ilaje Local government and Ese – Odo Local Government Areas of the state.
He said the assessment team for Ilaje Local Government has Hon. Oyebo Aladetan, Special Adviser on Niger Delta as the team leader while other members include Hon. Gbenga Edema, Chairman OSOPADEC ; Hon. Lucky Ayedatiwa; Hon. Otito Atikase, Chairman Ilaje Local Government; Hon. Olumide Ikuepenikan, Commisioner, OSOPADEC and Hon. Felix Rawa SSA Riverine & Community Relations.
Chief Olugbenga Ale, Chief of Staff to the Governor will serve as team leader for Ese – Odo Local Government while other members include Donald Ojogo, Commissioner for Information and Orientation ; Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, Special Adviser Health; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment ; Hon. Omolewa Shadrack Ojo, Chairman Ese-Odo Local Government and Kele Bolodeoku, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu on Community Mobilisation.
The teams according to the Governor will among other things ascertain the impact of the floods; number of communities affected; public property affected; the extent of damage to communities and suggest measures that could assist the State in her pursuit for succour from the Federal Government through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
Governor Akeredolu said the two teams must commence work immediately and report back not later than Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
