Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA Marks 100 Days in Office with Free Medical Mission and Cash Transfer Scheme
The Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Abiodun Jimoh Isola Ejigbadero, has celebrated his first 100 days in office with a landmark initiative aimed at improving healthcare access and providing financial relief to vulnerable residents.
At a well-attended ceremony held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Council Secretariat, Mayor Ejigbadero flagged off a comprehensive free medical mission alongside the launch of the Renewed Hope Cash Transfer Empowerment Scheme.
Free Medical Mission
The medical outreach, spanning two days, offers residents a wide range of services at no cost, including:
– Screening for hypertension, diabetes, cervical and prostate cancers
– Eye care services with free corrective glasses under the Jigi Eji program
– Primary dental care
– Provision of essential medications
– Health education and counseling
To strengthen healthcare delivery, the council also commissioned a Chemistry Analyser to enhance diagnostic capacity at primary health centers and unveiled a new ambulance to improve emergency response.
Renewed Hope Cash Transfer
In addition to healthcare, the administration launched the Renewed Hope Cash Transfer Empowerment Initiative, providing ₦100,000 each to 300 needy residents. The program will run monthly, with beneficiaries required to present their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and National Identification Number (NIN).
Mayor Ejigbadero emphasized that the initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance:
“Roads, schools, and infrastructure are important, but none of them matter if our people are not alive and healthy enough to use them. This mission is comprehensive and inclusive, and the cash transfer will reach all needy residents of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA.”

Kehinde Yusau Shobayo, Vice Chairman, praised the initiative as a directive aligned with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party, particularly his Boss, the Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Abiodun Jimoh Isola Ejigbadero, to make needy happy by giving them free medical care and cash transfer empowerment, noting that additional packages will be introduced in January.
• Hon. Giwa Wasiu, Leader of the House, described the program as “just the beginning,” assuring residents that more empowerment schemes will follow. He urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely.

The dual initiatives—healthcare and financial empowerment—underscore the council’s focus on protecting lives, uplifting the vulnerable, and laying a foundation for sustainable development.
